Sept. 11/24 – Night and day, what a difference

Right now, as I write this, my pain isn’t too bad but wow was it bad overnight. Half way through I had to use the headband I made the other day. (Interesting finding – I made this one wider than I usually do and I was afraid it would be too wide. It is. I need it to be just a half an inch or so narrower. I’m going to add that bit of information to the how-to article.)

After I got out of bed though, the pain subsided somewhat. Overnight I’d have rated it around a 7. Now we’re back down to a 5.

I went out last night to a quilt guild meeting, so it was nice to socialize a bit. I skipped all the meetings last year because of the mouth pain. That didn’t help me at all, so I might as well try to go out when I can. I just make sure I have a small container of Aquaphore in my pocket so I can reapply the balm every few minutes. I know it must look odd, but I have to do what I have to do.

My workout wasn’t as intense at the gym this morning either. I was really tired – that’s what happens when the pain keeps you awake. M/W/F is usually 30 minutes on the spinning cycle, followed by about 20 minutes of traditional weights.

Let’s see what tomorrow brings!
